To All BorderWare Partners,
BorderWare is pleased to announce that MXtreme version 6.0 Update 3 is now available for general
release. BorderWare continues to place
significant emphasis on technical innovation, key differentiators and the
generation of new opportunities for partners, and to that end MXtreme V6.0 Update 3 adds a number of important new
features to the product including:
Email Encryption
This
release adds integrated message encryption allowing users to encrypt outbound
messages directly from MXtreme without the need for a
separate local encryption server or additional desktop software. BorderWare is the first email security vendor to bring a
single-box security and encryption product to market, bringing customers a
straightforward solution to their message encryption and compliance
requirements.
Threat Outbreak Control
The Threat Outbreak Control feature provides customers with proactive zero-day
protection against new virus outbreaks. With this capability customers
are protected against new virus attacks during the lag time which naturally
exists between virus detection and signature data base update. MXtreme provides recognition and temporary quarantine of
potentially threatening messages which may subsequently be rescanned.
Brightmail Update
This release updates the Symantec Brightmail
Anti-Spam engine 6.0.3 with patch 167 that increases efficiency and addresses
an issue with temporary directory space.
